I believe in integrating the Chinese language with immediate applications and cultural anecdotes.
It is important for foreign language learners to both continuously practice a language and have the motivation to pursue their study. Having real-world applications and opportunities to engage with the culture helps inspire and entice learners to stick with their study.
That said, I recognize that Chinese characters come from symbolic and pictographic roots. So, those characters tell stories and have inherent meaning. While applying the language, I do not forsake the fundamental skills and narratives that would benefit long-term study.
This unique approach to Chinese helps students learn quickly, stay motivate, and retain their learnings.
